Sonesta International Hotels Corporation (Sonesta), the 8th largest hotel company in the U.S., has appointed Jeff Knowlton as Chief Information Officer. Knowlton brings 25 years of experience building and leading successful IT organizations within the hospitality industry.
“As an accomplished technology executive, Jeff has the comprehensive experience that we believe will fuel Sonesta’s growth and drive innovation in our business,” said John Murray, President and CEO at Sonesta.
He joins Sonesta from Pursuit Collection, a Denver-based hospitality and attractions company, where he served as Vice President of Information Technology and built the IT department to help support the company’s growth. Prior to Pursuit Collection, Knowlton was Vice President of Property Technology at Sage Hospitality, where he played a key role in the development and implementation of the company’s IT strategy for both its hotels and restaurants. Earlier in his career Knowlton held positions with companies such as Grand Geneva Resort and Vail Resorts. Knowlton attended Johnson State College in Vermont and received a bachelor’s degree in hospitality administration/management.
