The Executive Council of the CIO Professional Network announced the winner of the Fourth Annual CIO Cup™ recognizing esteemed member Kiran Palla as the recipient of the prestigious award.
Palla’s selection was the outcome of independent voting within the technology leadership community, acknowledging his unwavering commitment to continual learning and advancement in the field. His dedication shines through various avenues, including impactful mentorship within the tech community, shaping the next generation of leaders.
Connect, Collaborate, and Contribute
Palla, epitomizing the CIO Professional Network’s values of Connect, Collaborate, and Contribute, has led strategic initiatives, notably an AI event series fostering peer-to-peer interaction among CIOs. These events serve as forums for sharing real-world use cases and dissecting AI’s expanding role in global organizations.
“Every technology leader needs peer-to-peer networking and a sounding board to openly share knowledge and experiences. With the way technology is changing so rapidly, the leaders really need a lot of industry knowledge to cope with the change,” said Palla. “As a member of the CIO Professional Network, I embrace every opportunity to learn and share knowledge with my peers. From monthly roundtables to published research papers and tech-focused groups, CION has provided me with a plethora of resources. Most importantly, the extraordinary support from the CION crew has been priceless,” continued Palla.

Celebrating the Community – 2023 Distinguished Members
Alongside the 2023 CIO CUP, the CIO Professional Network recognized its 2023 Distinguished Members for their contributions and dedication to the core pillars of the CIO Professional Network.
A True Community
“We are thrilled to announce Kiran as the recipient of this year’s CIO Cup, a distinction that honors a member who truly embodies the core pillars of Connect, Collaborate, and Contribute. Kiran’s journey with us reflects the very essence of what we envisioned when we started the CIO Professional Network.
Just a few years ago, we embarked with a small group of dedicated CIOs, aspiring to create a community that was different – one that was member-led and not vendor-driven. Kiran has been instrumental in realizing this vision.
It is through the servant leadership of members like Kiran, and our previous distinguished members, that the CIO Professional Network continues to redefine what a ‘true community’ means for technology executives,” said CIO Professional Network founder H. Michael Burgett.
