The Executive Council of the CIO Professional Network announced the winner of the Third Annual CIO Cup™ with Harsha Bellur, Chief Information Officer for James Avery, as the recipient of the prestigious award.

In independent voting of the technology leadership community, Bellur was selected as the top member who contributed greatly throughout the year, gave selflessly in service of his peer members, and led the growth of this purpose-driven community.

Recognized a leader who regularly exemplifies Connect, Collaborate, and Contribute, the core pillars of the CIO Professional Network, Bellur frequently leads regular learning events and is active on the platform sharing his experiences and advice freely with his fellow members.

“I’m honored to be part of this incredible community and even more grateful for the recognition bestowed by my distinguished peers. The CIO Cup is truly a remarkable award and I feel very special to be the recipient of it. I’m enriched daily by the thought leadership, insights and rich content produced by this community and I’m privileged to part take in it. Thank you to everyone in this community for all that you do to make this a special place,” said Bellur.

Past recipients include Phil Crawford, Chief Technology Officer for CKE Enterprises, and Lonnie Snyder, Chief Information Officer for the Special Olympics USA Games.

“I had the honor and privilege of being awarded the 2020 CIO Cup. Being a member of the CIO Network offers professionals like myself a simple, yet convenient way to connect. The diversity of CIOs on the platform, representing a wide array of industries, companies, and professional acumen, is a key pillar for any professional to grow and expand with like-minded individuals,” offered Crawford.

“Receiving the CIO Cup in 2021 is one of the proudest moments of my career. The CIO Professional Network is a CIO’s secret weapon to move from good to great. I am grateful for this amazing community and the rockstars that support it,” said Snyder about winning the cup in 2021.

“I’m enriched daily by the thought leadership, insights and rich content produced by this community and I’m privileged to part take in it.”

Harsha Bellur, 2022 CIO Cup Recipient

Alongside the 2022 CIO CUP, the CIO Professional Network recognized its 2022 Distinguished Members for their contributions and dedication to the core pillars of the CIO Professional Network.

“When we began this journey just a few years ago with a handful of CIOs, we could not have imagined how important this community would have become for our members. From the start we knew this had to be different, not vendor supported, but rather a member-led community. It is truly because of the servant leadership of folks like Harsha, previous recipients Lonnie and Phil, and all of our 2022 Distinguished Members that the CIO Professional Network will continue to redefine “true community” for technology executives.” said CIO Professional Network founder H. Michael Burgett.
