Karen Habercoss – Chief Information Security Officer at UChicago Medicine
UChicago Medicine has promoted Karen Habercoss to Vice President and Chief Information Security and Privacy Officer. Previously serving as Chief Privacy Officer, Habercoss will now oversee both privacy and information security efforts, including cyber incident response and identity management. Her promotion reflects the growing collaboration between privacy and security functions to enhance patient safety and data protection. Habercoss, who has been with the organization for over 25 years, also brings experience from The Joint Commission and a healthcare startup, returning to UChicago Medicine in 2016.
