Phil Crawford has joined Dairy Queen as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, bringing more than two decades of technology leadership experience across the restaurant, retail, hospitality, and fintech sectors.
Crawford announced his appointment on LinkedIn, describing the opportunity to join the iconic brand as “a true honor.”

He said he is looking forward to leading Dairy Queen’s technology organization as it focuses on driving innovation, delivering high-performance technology solutions, and shaping the next generation of the guest experience. He also emphasized the importance of collaborating with the company’s executive leadership team, independent franchise owners and team members to equip operators with modern technology capabilities and unlock new opportunities across the business.
Before joining Dairy Queen, Crawford served as Global Head of Food & Beverage and Hospitality at Adyen, where he helped enterprise brands modernize commerce and payments through digital transformation initiatives. Earlier, he held numerous senior technology leadership roles, serving as Chief Technology Officer at CKE Restaurants and Godiva Chocolatier, and Chief Information Officer at Shake Shack and Yard House Restaurants.
Reflecting on his departure from Adyen, Crawford thanked his colleagues for their partnership and support, describing his time at the company as “an absolute privilege.”
As Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, he will lead Dairy Queen’s technology strategy as the company continues to invest in innovation and enhanced digital experiences for its franchisees and guests.
