The University of Oklahoma (OU), a leading public research university and the state’s top-ranked institution, has announced the appointment of Nishanth Rodrigues as its new Chief Information Officer. Rodrigues, an IT executive with over 20 years of experience, previously served as CIO at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) since 2017.
During his tenure at Ole Miss, he drove significant IT projects, including the development of a new data center to boost research capabilities and academic services.
Before joining Ole Miss, Rodrigues served two years as the Assistant Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Michigan State University. His leadership in the field extends to notable affiliations, such as the Cisco Higher Education Advisory Council and the CIO Visions Steering Committee.
Rodrigues holds a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Mississippi, an MBA from Michigan State University, and a Bachelor of Applied Science from Davenport University.
