Tech Talent Ascendant: IT Firms Set for Hiring Surge in Upcoming Quarter

Amid previous tech layoffs, a net increase of +10% from Q2 projections.

US employers in the IT industry are leading the way in aggressive hiring plans for the third quarter, with 55% of tech firms intending to expand their workforce. Overall, 48% of employers across all industries in the US plan to hire in Q3, according to a survey by ManpowerGroup. Financials and real estate, energy and utilities, and industrials and materials are among the sectors with robust hiring plans following IT. The survey also highlights the challenges faced by IT employers in filling open roles, with 74% reporting difficulty in finding suitable candidates.
