Lumen Technologies has appointed Kim Keever as Chief Security Officer, where she will oversee the company’s enterprise-wide security strategy across its physical, digital, and operational assets.

Keever joins Lumen from Cox Communications, where she served as Chief Information Security Officer for more than a decade. During her tenure, she helped build the company’s cybersecurity risk management program, overseeing network security, threat intelligence, identity management, and operational resilience.
In her new role, Keever will lead Lumen’s security strategy as the company expands its network-as-a-service offerings and strengthens its cybersecurity capabilities. Her responsibilities will include protecting critical infrastructure and supporting integrated security initiatives as Lumen prepares its networks for growing AI-driven demands.
Before Cox, Keever held several security leadership positions at The Coca-Cola Company, including leading security controls and governance for its enterprise operations and serving as CISO for its Bottling Investments Group.
