The Home Depot has named Dr. Franziska “Fran” Bell Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, strengthening its leadership team.
In this role, she will lead technology strategy across the company, overseeing product management, data, and artificial intelligence, with a focus on advancing machine learning and agentic AI to support a connected experience for associates, DIY customers, and professional contractors.
She joins from Ford Motor Company, where she served as Chief Data, AI and Analytics Officer and led enterprise AI initiatives. Earlier roles include Senior Vice President of Digital Technology at BP, along with leadership positions at Uber and Toyota.
Bell said her focus will be on building technology that works in the background to help customers complete projects with confidence and provide professionals with effective digital tools.
