The State of Oklahoma has named Daniel Langley as its new Chief Information Security Officer, bringing with him over 15 years of experience in cybersecurity and public-sector IT leadership. Langley joins the Office of Management and Enterprise Services from Washington Technology Solutions (WaTech), where he most recently served as Network Security Architect and Interim Deputy CISO for Security Operations.

At WaTech, Langley played a key role in strengthening the state’s cyber defenses, overseeing enterprise security architecture and day-to-day security operations. Prior to that, he served as CISO for Washington’s Lottery from 2019 to 2023, and briefly held a senior cybersecurity post at CoinFlip in early 2023.
In his new role, Langley will lead statewide cybersecurity efforts through OMES’ Information Services Division (ITD), which supports more than 180 state agencies, boards, and commissions.
His responsibilities include managing the Oklahoma Cyber Command, overseeing the state’s Security Operations Center, and directing policies around risk management, infrastructure, and strategic security initiatives.
Langley succeeds former CISO Michael Toland, who departed in July and now serves as VP of Customer Success at threat intelligence firm Anomali.
