Answer: Creeper
The first computer virus was called "Creeper." It was created in the early 1970s by a computer engineer named Bob Thomas while he was working on the ARPANET, the precursor to the modern internet. Creeper was not a malicious virus like many of the viruses we encounter today. Instead, it was more of an experimental program that spread between DEC PDP-10 computers.
