Chris Bitner has been appointed Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer at The Winn-Dixie Company. He steps into the position after serving as VP and CISO at Southeastern Grocers for the past four years, where he led enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategy and operations.
His move follows several years in the same role, bringing continuity and deep institutional knowledge to the organization.
Bitner is a highly experienced security executive with a long track record across large consumer and retail brands.
Prior to Southeastern Grocers, he was Vice President and Global Chief Information Security Officer at Bloomin’ Brands for seven years, where he developed award-winning global security and compliance programs. Earlier, he spent 16 years as Global CISO at Office Depot | OfficeMax.
In his new role, Bitner will be responsible for overseeing information security strategy, risk management, and cyber resilience across The Winn-Dixie Company.
