Publix Super Markets has announced the promotion of Laurie Douglas to Executive Vice President, Chief Information and Digital Officer. Douglas currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer and has been with the company for more than 20 years.
Before joining Publix, Douglas served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at FedEx.
Her promotion comes as Publix announces a series of technology leadership changes following the retirements of two longtime executives. The company is also promoting several technology leaders to Senior Vice President and Vice President positions, with responsibilities spanning application development, omnichannel, data, AI and IT services.
Publix CEO Kevin Murphy said the newly appointed leaders will help guide the continued advancement of the company’s technology and digital capabilities while delivering solutions that support operations, customers and associates.
