Marriott International has appointed Daniel Dubowski as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer.
Dubowski joins Marriott from car rental company Hertz, where he also served as CISO. He succeeds Arno Van Der Walt and will report to Marriott Global Chief Information Officer Naveen Manga.
Announcing the appointment, Manga said Dubowski brings extensive experience leading cybersecurity and risk programmes across the hospitality, travel, financial services and healthcare sectors.
“As technology continues to transform our business, his leadership will be instrumental in helping us strengthen trust, resilience, and security across our global enterprise,” Manga said.
Dubowski joins Marriott as the hotel group continues a multiyear technology transformation. The company is deploying artificial intelligence and other technologies to improve the guest experience and support associates and hotel owners, including the rollout of conversational search capabilities and testing automation across hotel operations.
In his new role, Dubowski will be responsible for helping Marriott strengthen cybersecurity and resilience across its global enterprise, protecting the company’s guests, associates, owners and partners as its technology transformation progresses.
