Indeed has appointed Jim Giles as Chief Technology Officer, based in Austin, Texas, where he will lead the company’s technical strategy and global engineering organization.
He steps into the role as artificial intelligence increasingly reshapes the hiring landscape. In his new role, Giles will oversee the continued development of Indeed’s technology platform, with an emphasis on using AI to improve how people connect with jobs and how employers identify and hire talent.

Giles joins from Google, where he most recently served as Vice President of Engineering, overseeing products used by more than a billion people worldwide, including Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive. While there, he helped advance the company’s shift to an AI-first product strategy and founded the Workspace AI platform to support AI development across products.
