Yahoo has appointed Valeri Liborski as its new Chief Technology Officer, a move aimed at strengthening the company’s innovation and enhancing its AI investments. With over 20 years of experience at some of the world’s leading tech companies, Liborski is set to lead Yahoo’s engineering efforts and drive forward its ambitious growth strategy.
Liborski’s career spans significant leadership roles, most recently at HelloFresh, where he served as CTO. At HelloFresh, he was a key figure in advancing the company’s technological framework, particularly in engineering, data science, and product development.
Before joining HelloFresh, Liborski spent a decade at Amazon, where he served as Vice President of Technology and played a crucial role in expanding Amazon’s retail footprint across Europe. He also managed Amazon Route 53, a core AWS service. Prior to his tenure at Amazon, he held various engineering and leadership roles at Microsoft, where he contributed to products such as Microsoft TV, Windows, and advertising solutions.
Liborski expressed his enthusiasm for joining Yahoo, a brand he has long admired. “Yahoo was one of my first gateways to the internet and continues to be a go-to source in my daily life,” he said. “I’m excited to contribute to such an iconic brand and work with the team to develop technology that touches the lives of hundreds of millions of people.”
