USAA, one of the leading providers of insurance, banking, investment, and retirement solutions for members of the U.S. military and veterans, has named two new Senior Vice Presidents (SVPs) in its Enterprise Chief Information Office.

Suhas Yerra is new to USAA and has been appointed SVP, Chief Information Officer for the organization’s Property and Casualty company. Yerra has extensive experience in defining and guiding information technology vision, strategy, and execution for major organizations, with focused experience in the banking, financial services, and insurance industry. In his most recent role as CIO at AIG, he was responsible for technology strategy and delivery for General Insurance and Claims (Commercial and Consumer) globally, where he led a team of more than 3,500 employees focused on building digital solutions.

Long-time USAA executive John TenEyck has been promoted to SVP, Chief Information Officer of Shared Services and Infrastructure, overseeing the company’s enterprise technology portfolio and providing organizational leadership and technical vision. With TenEyck in this strategic role, USAA will be better aligned with its enterprise architectural standards and be able to prioritize initiatives that deliver efficient, sound, and industry-leading platforms. TenEyck has served with USAA in various leadership roles for close to 16 years. In his most recent position, TenEyck was the VP of Enterprise IT Architecture, where he was responsible for driving the architecture direction of cloud adoption for the line of business platforms, as well as leading machine learning and artificial intelligence applications applied to the financial services industry.

“John and Suhas are industry leaders with proven track records of successfully leading transformation efforts,” said Executive Vice President and Enterprise Chief Information Officer Amala Duggirala. “They exemplify a ‘One Team, One Mission’ mindset which will be paramount as we enable a digital-first approach to ensure USAA’s systems continue to be effective, efficient and available.”
