Atlanta-based convenience-store leader RaceTrac has named Ameet Shetty as its first Chief Information Officer, a newly created position. Placed by CIO Partners, Shetty will report to the executive leadership team and be responsible for shaping RaceTrac’s enterprise-wide technology vision, with particular emphasis on cybersecurity, data strategy, analytics, and the adoption of artificial intelligence.
Shetty brings more than 29 years of combined finance and technology leadership experience, including 15 years driving enterprise technology strategies across financial services, retail, and consumer goods. Most recently, he served at Equifax, where he led the transformation of the company’s data governance, data quality practices, and cloud-native architecture.

Prior to Equifax, Shetty held senior technology roles at Pilot Flying J, McDonald’s, SunTrust (now Truist), and Fifth Third Bank, building a track record of modernizing technology platforms in large-scale retail and financial environments.
In his new role, Shetty will focus on leveraging emerging technologies to accelerate innovation and advance RaceTrac’s business objectives.
The appointment follows the August 2025 retirement of John Lukas, RaceTrac’s longtime vice president of information technology, and marks the elevation of the top technology position to the C-suite.
