POLITICO, the global news organization, has appointed Jeremy Bowers as Global Chief Technology Officer (CTO). As CTO, Bowers will be responsible for enacting and upgrading POLITICO’s global technology strategy, strengthening the IT organization, and leading ongoing technology execution for its technology initiatives as it continues to grow globally.
Bowers is an established technology executive with over 15 years of news technology leadership experience. Bowers has served at companies including the Tampa Bay Times, NPR, The New York Times, and most recently, The Washington Post. While at The Washington Post, Bowers served as the Director of Engineering and managed a team of over 65 engineers and managers supporting newsroom engineering and publishing tools.
