Nike has appointed Dr. Muge Erdirik Dogan as its new Chief Technology Officer. In this role, Dogan will be responsible for driving innovation and digital transformation within the company.
With over 16 years of experience and 3 years as Acting President of Amazon Fashion, Dogan brings strong leadership and business growth skills to Nike. Dogan’s specialization in supply chain, a pivotal reason for her hire, aligns seamlessly with Nike’s focus on supply chain optimization as one of its key initiatives.
“With Muge’s deep understanding of how technology can accelerate innovation, scale processes, increase efficiency, and ultimately drive growth, I’m confident her experience and leadership will help us capitalize on the opportunity ahead while keeping the athlete and consumer at the center,” said Nike Chief Executive Officer John Donahoe
In her previous role at Amazon Fashion, Dogan played a crucial role in reshaping e-commerce by leading technology and innovation efforts. Her contributions showcased the fusion of cutting-edge technology with consumer-centric design, setting new industry benchmarks.
Recognizing the fashion industry’s digital transformation, Nike strategically hired a CTO with fashion sector experience to swiftly adapt to industry shifts, integrate innovative technologies, and deliver tailored digital solutions, incorporating strategies like data-driven trend forecasting and AI-assisted design.
