Deborah Youmans has been named Chief Information Officer (CIO) for MITRE, a non-profit corporation dedicated to the public interest. It runs federally funded R&D centers for U.S. government sponsors. In this role, Deborah will oversee MITRE’s Enterprise Computing and Information Systems division. In addition, she will manage 400+ IT professionals across various areas such as information security, innovation, business services, and sector operations.

Youmans comes from Booz Allen Hamilton, where she served 17 years in IT leadership. Her recent role was Deputy CIO, assisting the CIO with the leadership of the Information Services organization. She was responsible for spearheading the strategic and technical direction for the development and delivery of enterprise solutions. Prior to that, she led teams focused on Enterprise Collaboration leveraging various platforms as the Director of Enterprise Solutions. Youmans holds an MBA in Finance, Management, and Organization from the University of Maryland. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech.
