Gannett, the parent company of USA Today and one of the largest local media publishers in the U.S., has appointed Joe Miranda as Chief Technology and Data Officer, bringing over 25 years of global digital strategy and enterprise development experience.

Miranda most recently served Executive Vice President and Chief Digital and Technology Officer at Herbalife where he drove scalable platform transformation, AI integration, and digital experience modernization. His earlier leadership roles at Thomson Reuters, Voya Financial, GE Capital, and Nielsen were consistently centered on digital transformation and data-driven innovation.
In his new role, Miranda will lead enterprise-wide technology adoption initiatives focused on enhancing digital media and marketing solutions through AI, machine learning, and advanced data analytics.
