SpartanNash, a food distribution and grocery retail company with popular retail banners such as Chief Markets, Family Fare, Martin’s Super Markets, and D&W Fresh Market, has announced two leadership appointments to improve its technology and cybersecurity capabilities.
The company announced the appointment of Ed Rybicki as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, reporting to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Jason Monaco within the company’s newly integrated Finance/IT/Strategy organization.
Rybicki brings more than two decades of technology leadership experience, most recently serving as Chief Information and Technology Officer at Mastronardi Produce. His career also includes senior IT positions at Vyaire Medical, Merieux Nutrisciences, and Delphi, where he focused on large-scale digital transformation and operational modernization. In this role, Rybicki will lead SpartanNash’s technology team.
SpartanNash has also appointed Brett Hoffman as Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer, joining the leadership team under CIO Ed Rybicki.
Hoffman joins SpartanNash from Inspire Security Solutions, where he served as Vice President, Enterprise Security Solutions and CISO. He previously held prominent cybersecurity leadership roles, including Global CISO at MillerKnoll, and served at HealthEquity, Amway, and Corewell Health. Hoffman brings extensive experience in enterprise security architecture, incident response, and risk management.
In this position, Hoffman will be responsible for developing and executing the company’s cybersecurity strategy to safeguard its retail, supply chain, and corporate environments.
