Docusign has named Michael Adams as its new Group Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer. With nearly three decades of leadership across cybersecurity, government, and legal sectors, Adams steps into the role to lead the company’s global security strategy as it expands its intelligent agreement management solutions.

Adams most recently served as CISO at Zoom, where he led enterprise-wide security, product security, and corporate cybersecurity programs.
Prior to Zoom, he held an executive role at Palantir Technologies, was a partner at an international law firm, and also served as a security advisor to two Chairmen of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, underlining his broad experience in national security and policy advisory.
Docusign CEO Allan Thygesen praised Adams for his “proven ability to manage complex security operations” and build trust at scale. Adams takes over from Kurt Sauer, who has stepped down after helping establish Docusign’s foundational security framework.
Docusign continues to secure the trust of nearly 1.7 million customers worldwide, with Adams now steering its critical security initiatives across data protection, compliance, and operational resilience.
