FedEx has appointed veteran technology executive Michael Rogers as Chief Technology Officer of FedEx Freight. Rogers brings more than three decades of experience leading enterprise technology, digital strategy, and retail innovation across multiple industries.

He most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer/Chief Information Officer at Pilot Flying J, one of the largest travel center operators and commercial fuel providers in North America. During his nearly nine-year tenure at Pilot, he led enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives, integrating technology across supply chain, customer experience, and marketing functions.
Rogers also brings expertise from the retail sector. From 2014 to 2015, he served as EVP of Omnichannel at JCPenney, where he was responsible for blending digital and in-store customer experiences.
He previously spent more than two decades at Saks Fifth Avenue, where he held multiple leadership roles, including Executive Vice President and CIO. At Saks, he oversaw IT strategy, service operations, and large-scale system integrations during a period of major industry disruption and digital transition.
