Cleveland Clinic has officially named Sarah Hatchett as its new Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer (SVP, CIO). Hatchett had been serving as the interim CIO since August 2023 and with over two decades of experience in IT and healthcare leadership, Hatchett brings a wealth of expertise to her new role.

During her tenure as interim CIO, she managed a portfolio exceeding $500 million, overseeing health system integrations, hospital constructions, capital projects, and IT operations. Previously, as Cleveland Clinic’s Associate CIO, Hatchett directed the Enterprise Applications and Growth portfolio, leading IT integration for hospitals such as Mercy, Martin Health, and Indian River. She also spearheaded the Electronic Health Records Transformation program and was instrumental in developing the IT business office function and IT strategic plan.
In a LinkedIn post Hatchett shared, “Together, we can overcome any challenge and seize every opportunity to advance our mission of providing world class care.” Her appointment comes as Cleveland Clinic continues to innovate in healthcare technology, participating in initiatives such as the Trustworthy & Responsible AI Network and launching the Quantum System One platform with IBM.
