Hans Brown – Chief Information Technology Officer at Southern Company

Southern Company has named Hans Brown as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Technology Officer. In this role, Brown will lead the company’s enterprise-wide technology strategy, advancing digital transformation to boost efficiency, innovation, and engagement across operations. He brings deep global experience in digital innovation and fintech, having held senior roles at BNY, including CIO for Issuer Services and Corporate Technology, and Global Head of Enterprise Innovation. Joe Lewis – Chief Information Security Officer at the Georgia Institute of Technology

The Georgia Institute of Technology has named Joe Lewis as Associate Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information Security Officer. Lewis brings over two decades of cybersecurity leadership, with experience across federal agencies, defense, and the private sector. He most recently served as VP of Cybersecurity Solutions at Leidos and interim CISO for its subsidiary, QTC Health Services. He previously held senior security roles at the CDC, Department of Energy, and Department of the Army. At Georgia Tech, Lewis will oversee information security and risk management strategy, leading efforts to protect institutional data and ensure compliance.

Hari Gopalkrishnan – Chief Technology and Information Officer at Bank of America 

Bank of America has appointed Hari Gopalkrishnan as Chief Technology and Information Officer, succeeding Aditya Bhasin, who is stepping down after more than two decades with the firm. A veteran technology leader, Gopalkrishnan joined Bank of America in 2011 and most recently led Consumer, Business, and Wealth Management Technology. He has played a key role in scaling the bank’s digital and mobile platforms and advancing its “high-tech, high-touch” strategy. Previously, he held senior roles at Citigroup and Lehman Brothers. In his new role, Gopalkrishnan will oversee enterprise-wide technology strategy, with a focus on AI-driven services and digital innovation.

Corey Farrell – Chief Information Officer at Peloton

Peloton has appointed Corey Farrell as Chief Information Officer, tasking him with leading the company’s enterprise systems strategy and technology roadmap. Farrell brings over 20 years of experience in IT leadership, most recently serving as CTO and SVP of Infrastructure & Operations at Pearson. There, he led a global transformation of the company’s IT ecosystem, introduced AI-focused strategies, and unified enterprise platforms. Rob Lowden – Chief Information Officer at The Ohio State University

Rob Lowden has been named Vice President and Chief Information Officer at The Ohio State University. He joins from Indiana University, where he served as VP and CIO and spent over 20 years leading major IT modernization efforts across a large, multi-campus system. Lowden is a nationally recognized leader in higher education technology, known for aligning digital strategy with institutional goals and advancing AI, cybersecurity, and data platforms. At Ohio State, he will oversee the Office of Technology and Digital Innovation and lead enterprise IT and learning initiatives.

Rob Gregory – Chief Information Security Officer at Optiv

Optiv has appointed Rob Gregory as Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer. Bringing more than 16 years of cybersecurity leadership across financial services and government sectors, Gregory will lead Optiv’s security strategy with a focus on reducing cyber risk and enhancing operational resilience. He joins Optiv from Security Benefit, where he served as AVP and CISO. Gregory previously held security leadership roles at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka and spent more than eight years in the U.S. Army, where he served as an Information Assurance Manager.

Robert Nettles – Chief Information Security Officer at Centre

Centre Technologies has named Robert Nettles as its new Chief Information Security Officer. Nettles brings over two decades of cybersecurity and IT leadership experience, with deep expertise in privacy, risk management, and secure-by-design frameworks. Prior, Nettles served as Information Security and Privacy Officer at Pon, where he helped build and lead IT security programs across the Americas. He previously spent nearly 21 years at PwC, rising to Senior Manager and specializing in industrial control systems and cybersecurity initiatives. At Centre, Nettles will embed security throughout its service delivery, strengthen incident response procedures, and develop consistent security playbooks to ensure scalable, proactive protection for customers.

Andrew Zitney – Chief Information Officer at State Street

State Street has appointed Andrew Zitney as Chief Information Officer. Zitney, who previously served as Executive Vice President and Interim CIO, now officially leads the company’s global IT and enterprise data strategy. He joined State Street in 2020 as Chief Technology Officer for Global Technology Services, overseeing infrastructure, enterprise architecture, operations, and end-user experience. Most recently serving as CIO of Atlantis Bahamas, Pinkham led a major technology modernization including infrastructure upgrades, cybersecurity enhancements, and the deployment of guest-facing innovations. Hyundai Motor North America has named Manish Mehrotra as Chief Information Officer. In his new role, Mehrotra will lead IT governance, security, and technology planning across all HMNA subsidiaries. A 12-year Hyundai veteran, he previously served as Vice President of Digital Business Planning & Connected Operations for North America, leading technology investments and the development of unified digital experiences across operations. He has helped shape Hyundai’s connected car strategy and advanced enterprise architecture initiatives across the continent. Before joining Hyundai, Mehrotra held several senior technology roles at Mitsubishi Motors, where he led business systems, CRM, and architecture teams supporting North American operations. His earlier experience includes time at American Express, Accenture, and RS Software.

Daniel Henry – Chief Digital and Technology Officer at Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd.

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings has appointed Daniel Henry as Executive Vice President and Chief Digital & Technology Officer, where he will lead the integration of digital experience and IT operations across the organization. Henry brings over 25 years of experience driving large-scale digital transformations across the travel, hospitality, and consumer sectors. He previously served as Global CIO at McDonald’s, leading global digital modernization initiatives aligned with the company’s growth strategy, including enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and customer experience technologies. Stuart Kippelman – US Federal Chief Information and AI Officer at Xerox

Stuart Kippelman has been appointed U.S. Federal Chief Information and AI Officer at Xerox. Kippelman brings over two decades of global technology leadership, most recently serving as Chief Information and Digital Officer at Parsons Corporation, where he oversaw international IT, cybersecurity, and digital services. Brett Feddersen – Chief Information and Technology Officer at the Regional Transportation District

Brett Feddersen has been promoted as the inaugural Chief Information and Technology Officer at the Regional Transportation District, where he will lead the agency’s long-term IT vision and innovation strategy. Hackensack Meridian Health has appointed Dr. Joel Klein as its new Chief Digital Information Officer. Cottage Health has appointed Ganesh Persad as Vice President and Chief Information Officer. With over 20 years of healthcare IT experience, Persad brings deep expertise in clinical systems, digital transformation, and enterprise technology initiatives. He most recently served as Corporate Director of Digital Patient Experience and Transformation at Emory Healthcare, where he led the nation’s first integration of Epic MyChart Bedside TV with Virtual Nursing. At Cottage Health, Persad will lead all information systems strategy and execution, overseeing IT planning, innovation, and digital initiatives to enhance both patient and workforce experiences.

Ben Patel – Chief Technology Officer at UC Health 

UC Health has named Ben Patel as its new Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, bringing more than 28 years of IT leadership to the academic health system. In this role, Patel will oversee digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, clinical and business applications, and technology services to support UC Health’s mission of advancing medicine and improving community health. He joins the Digital Health Systems team and will focus on enhancing care delivery, operational efficiency, and patient experience through innovation and strategic IT alignment. Patel previously served as CIO at Cone Health, Sinai Health System, and APM Health.

David Maher – Chief Information Officer at Arch Insurance International

Arch Insurance International has promoted David Maher to Chief Information Officer, where he will lead the company’s IT strategy and infrastructure, driving technology adoption to support agility and operational efficiency. Based in London, Maher reports to both the COO of Arch Insurance International and the Deputy COO of Arch Capital Group. He joined Arch in 2024 as International Head of Delivery and brings over 25 years of experience from senior technology roles at Lloyds Banking Group, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Direct Line Group, WTW, and UBS

Aanchal Gupta – Chief Security Officer at Adobe

Adobe has appointed Aanchal Gupta as Chief Security Officer, where she will lead the company’s global cybersecurity strategy and support its expanding AI governance efforts. Gupta joins Adobe after more than five years at Microsoft, where she held several senior security roles, including CVP and Deputy CISO, and most recently CVP for the Office Product Group. Her earlier experience includes time as CISO at Meta and Skype, and as Director of Engineering at Yahoo.

Jason Estes – Chief Information Officer at Lincoln Investment

Lincoln Investment has appointed Jason Estes as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer. In his new role, Estes will lead Lincoln’s digital transformation efforts, focusing on modernizing technology platforms and delivering innovative tools to support financial advisors. Estes brings more than two decades of experience in technology leadership, including a track record in financial services and digital strategy. Prior, he served as Chief Information and Digital Officer at First Command Financial Services. Jim Desmond – Chief Information Security Officer at HireRight

HireRight has appointed Jim Desmond as Chief Information Security Officer, where he will lead the company’s global cybersecurity and risk management strategy. Desmond brings over 20 years of experience, most recently serving as Chief Security Officer at Asurion, with prior leadership roles at Vantiv, Elevate, and Intuit. He will focus on strengthening HireRight’s security posture, protecting data, and supporting innovation across its global operations.

Dr. Brian Kraus – Chief Information Officer at Harford Community College

Harford Community College has appointed Dr. Brian Kraus as Chief Information Officer. Kraus brings extensive leadership experience in higher education IT, having served as CIO at California University of Pennsylvania and Volunteer State Community College. He also held key roles at West Virginia University, where he led student-facing technology systems and platforms. In addition to his administrative roles, Kraus teaches IT and business courses as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Arizona and the University of the Cumberlands.

Bradley Lontz – Chief Information Officer at CSSA Insurance Group

CSAA Insurance Group has appointed Bradley Lontz as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer. In this role, he will lead the company’s technology division with a focus on digital transformation, customer and agent experience, and scalable innovation. Lontz most recently served as CIO at CopperPoint Insurance, where he led technology integration efforts and implemented a cloud-based platform post-acquisition. Darrell Smith – Chief Information Officer at Morehead State University

Morehead State University has named Darrell Smith as its new Chief Information Officer. A longtime MSU employee and 1993 graduate, Smith brings over 30 years of institutional IT experience to the role. He began his career at MSU in 1994 and has since held a range of progressively senior positions, including executive director of enterprise applications, executive director of infrastructure services, and associate CIO. Smith has led numerous campus-wide initiatives. In his new role, he will focus on standardizing services, expanding IT’s support for campus operations, and optimizing the university’s technology resources.

Elyse Rosenberg – Chief Information Officer for the City of Portland, OR

The City of Portland has appointed Elyse Rosenberg as Chief Information Officer. Rosenberg had been serving as interim CIO since February, and now officially leads the Bureau of Technology Services. As CIO, Rosenberg will prioritize aligning IT investments with citywide goals, strengthening accountability, scaling innovation, and advancing inclusive digital services. She will also focus on cybersecurity enhancements, including a shift to Zero Trust Architecture and increased identity and data security.

Ajay Thakur – Chief Information Officer at Movius

Movius has appointed Ajay Thakur as its first Chief Information Officer, bringing expertise in AI, machine learning, and conversational platforms to the company. Thakur joins Movius from Uber, where he led the Cognitive Computing team and played a key role in deploying generative AI solutions and building the company’s public cloud architecture for omnichannel platforms. He previously held engineering roles at Cisco, Drivewyze, and Trimble. As CIO, Thakur will oversee the evolution of Movius’ Secure Communications as a Service platform and AI strategy.

Franz Decker – Chief Information Officer at BMW Group IT

BMW Group has appointed Franz Decker as its new Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President BMW Group IT. Decker brings over two decades of experience within the company and has most recently served as President & CEO of BMW Brilliance Automotive Ltd. Prior to this role, he held senior leadership positions across strategy, manufacturing, logistics, and IT, including Vice President Strategy and Logistics at BMW Brilliance and various VP roles within BMW Group’s global production network. Amar Nagaram – Chief Information Officer at Medical University of South Carolina

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) has appointed Amar Nagaram as its new Enterprise Chief Information Officer, overseeing IT strategy for both MUSC and MUSC Health. He brings over a decade of healthcare IT leadership, with experience in digital transformation, enterprise systems, and clinical technology enablement. Nagaram joins MUSC from Indiana University Health, where he served as Associate CIO and played a key role in initiating a large-scale Epic implementation. Leo Barella – Chief Information Officer at Booz Allen Hamilton

Booz Allen Hamilton has named Leo Barella as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, bringing with him over 25 years of experience leading large-scale technology and digital transformations across the pharmaceutical, insurance, financial services, and consulting sectors. Barella most recently served as Chief Technology Officer at Takeda, where he led the company’s global digital, data, and AI strategy. Under his leadership, Takeda reduced data center costs by 40%, consolidated vendor support, and established global innovation centers and design labs across three continents. His prior roles include technology leadership at AstraZeneca, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Mass General Brigham. Brent Laufenberg – Chief Information Officer at Global Electronics Association

Scott Cenci – Chief Information and Data Officer at Acadia Pharmaceuticals

Acadia Pharmaceuticals has named Scott Cenci as Senior Vice President and Chief Information and Data Officer, responsible for leading the company’s digital, data, and AI strategy as part of its executive leadership team. Cenci brings over 25 years of experience from senior technology roles at Genmab, Biogen, Zoetis, and Pfizer. Most recently, he served as SVP of Global IT and Digital at Genmab, where he scaled digital capabilities across global markets and led transformative cloud, data, and AI initiatives. At Acadia, Cenci will focus on advancing enterprise-wide digital transformation to support innovation, operational excellence, and patient care.

Dr. Alistair Erskine – Chief Information Digital Officer at Highmark Health

Highmark Health has named Dr. Alistair Erskine as its first Chief Information Digital Officer, where he will lead the digital roadmap for Allegheny Health Network and drive integration between payer and provider systems in support of the Living Health model. A seasoned clinical informatics leader, Dr. Erskine most recently served as CIO and Chief Digital Officer at Emory Healthcare, overseeing a 1,100-person team and a $350 million digital portfolio. There, he launched the world’s first fully Apple-powered hospital and led initiatives that improved patient and clinician experience, delivered $94.9 million in financial gains, and scaled AI-driven tools to reduce burnout. His previous roles include Chief Digital Health Officer at Mass General Brigham and Chief Informatics Officer at Geisinger Health.

Neeraj Rajpal – Chief Information Officer at Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP

Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP has appointed Neeraj Rajpal as Chief Information Officer, bringing over two decades of experience leading technology strategy across global law firms. Based in New York, Rajpal will oversee infrastructure, cybersecurity, and operational systems to enhance the firm’s digital capabilities and client service delivery. He previously served as CIO at Proskauer Rose, Stroock & Stroock & Lavan, and K&L Gates, leading digital transformation, cloud migration, and cybersecurity.

Ghassan Alaka – Chief Information Officer at Mercury Systems

Mercury Systems has named Ghassan Alaka as Chief Information Officer, bringing over two decades of IT leadership experience across cybersecurity, cloud engineering, and infrastructure transformation. In his new role, Alaka will oversee Mercury’s global technology strategy to ensure the security, agility, and scalability of its IT operations. Prior to joining Mercury, Alaka served as Vice President of Global IT Operations and Chief Information Security Officer at AeroVironment. He has also held senior technology roles at Oracle, Eze Software Group, Pegasystems, and Monitor Deloitte, where he developed and secured enterprise-scale hybrid cloud environments.
