Following the announcement of Mary Demby’s retirement, former Facebook CIO and startup founder Timothy Campos is expected to take over Apple’s Information Systems and Technology department according to a report from Bloomberg.

Although economic concerns have technology firms cutting staff and pausing new hires, Apple continues to show strong growth as the year rounds out. As CIO, Campos will bring his three decades of industry experience to Apple as it continues to innovate.

His new role with Apple will be Campos’s third as Chief Information Officer. He previously served as CIO at Facebook and at KLA, a semiconductor manufacturing company. Since leaving Facebook in 2016, Campos founded Woven, a software company that developed an AI to help teams collaborate. Woven was acquired by Slack in 2021.
