Amin Venjara – Chief Data Officer at ADP

ADP, a global leader in Human Resources services, has appointed Amin Venjara as its Chief Data Officer, marking a significant move to enhance data-driven innovation within the company. Venjara formerly served as the VP of Product for DataCloud at ADP as well as the DVP of Strategy and Business Development for Compliance Solutions. In his new role, he will oversee the strategy, execution, and operations of ADP’s DataCloud, focusing on HCM analytics, benchmarking, and Data-as-a-service (DaaS) business lines. Venjara has previously held leadership roles at the Boston Consulting Group and in the startup space. On his LinkedIn, Venjara shared, “I came to ADP believing in the power of this data. Before stepping into this position, Sally served as the head of the office of the CIO at Nestle USA and held impactful roles, including Chief Information Officer at Peak Technologies. Pamela C. Dyson – Chief Information Officer at PCAOB

Pamela C. Dyson has been appointed Chief Information Officer (CIO) at the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), effective immediately. As the Director of the PCAOB’s Office of Data, Security, and Technology (ODST), she will play a crucial role in shaping the organization’s technology strategy, enterprise information technology, and data initiatives. With over thirty years of IT experience, including leadership roles at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Dyson brings extensive expertise to the PCAOB. PCAOB Chair Erica Y. Williams expresses confidence in Dyson’s contributions, stating, “Pamela joins the PCAOB with outstanding experience as a technology leader and will be a tremendous asset to our team.” Evan Lee, previously Acting Chief Information Officer, will resume his role as Deputy Director, Architecture and Engineering.

Michael Bastianelli – Chief Information Officer for Kenosha County

Michael Bastianelli has been appointed to the role of Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Kenosha County, Wisconsin. Bastianelli, a seasoned manager in the county’s Division of Information Technology with a decade-long tenure as Application Services Manager, will now assume leadership over the entire IT operation. Pending approval from the County Board, Bastianelli began serving in the position on an acting basis on January 2nd. His promotion comes after the departure of former CIO Shawn Smith in August. Bastianelli, a lifelong resident of Kenosha County, brings a wealth of experience, having worked in various roles within county IT since 2001. Kenosha County Executive Samantha Kerkman expressed confidence in Bastianelli, stating, “Now Mike will be leading the talented team that ensures effective IT operations and security for our employees and residents, and I am confident in his well-rounded abilities.”

Peter Chambers – Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Montage International

Montage International, a luxury hotel and resort management company based in Irvine, California, has appointed Peter Chambers as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Prior to this appointment, Chambers served as the President of Deployed Technologies for over four years. He has decades of experience in the hospitality industry where he served in various technological roles.

Ryan Ries – Chief Data Science Strategist at Mission Cloud

Dr. Ryan Ries has been appointed Chief Data Science Strategist at Mission Cloud, a prominent US-based Amazon Web Services (AWS) Premier Tier Partner. In his previous role as Practice Lead/GM for Data, Analytics, and Machine Learning, Dr. Ries led a successful team, solving complex problems using AWS infrastructure. Asda, the UK supermarket chain, is strengthening its digital capabilities with the appointment of Matt Kelleher as its first Chief Digital Officer (CDO). Kelleher, who currently serves as CIO at Morrisons, will join Asda in July 2024 and lead the company’s data and e-commerce functions. His role will expand to include overseeing all technology functions once Asda’s ongoing technology transformation project, named ‘Future,’ is completed. Vaidy Subramanian – Senior Vice President and Chief Information and Digital Officer at Daikin

Vikram Ramani has been appointed as the Chief Information Officer of Synovus Financial, a role where he will oversee Synovus’ complete Technology footprint across all lines of businesses and function. Ramani brings valuable experience from his previous role as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Banking for FIS. Dr. Karandeep Singh – Chief Health Artificial Intelligence Officer for the University of California San Diego

Dr. Karandeep Singh has been appointed to the role of Chief Health Artificial Intelligence Officer for the University of California San Diego. Singh comes from the University of Michigan Medical School, where he served as the Associate Chief Medical Information Officer of Artificial Intelligence. Singh is a nephrologist and renowned expert in both artificial intelligence and healthcare technology. He holds a master’s degree in biomedical informatics from Harvard Medical School. In 2022, Singh assisted Google Health in developing AI policies for healthcare use at the first invite-only Google Health Bioethics Summit. He stands out as a leader in the field; his research has been cited in numerous policy documents. “Having worked with Dr. Singh previously in our careers, I have witnessed his impressive track record and deep expertise in health care technology firsthand,” Dr. John M. Orange County is in the process of establishing a new Department of Information Technology, a development expected to conclude in the coming months. Ford will drive Nordstrom’s security transformation and enhance cyber resilience in this role. With over 20 years of experience and recently serving as CISO at Rockwell Automation, Ford brings strong cybersecurity leadership skills to Nordstrom. Her specialization in security governance and risk management aligns with Nordstrom’s focus on ensuring customer trust and retail growth amid rising online threats. She will be tasked with supporting the retailer’s security and governance, risk, and compliance teams. “With Nicole’s deep understanding of how to accelerate security innovations, increase efficiencies, and ultimately drive business alignment with cyber protections, I’m confident her experience and leadership will help us capitalize on the opportunity ahead while keeping the customer at the center,” said a Nordstrom spokeswoman.

Chris Fallon – Chief Information Officer at Wingstop

Wingstop has appointed Chris Fallon as Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President as the company shifts toward in-house tech from the online ordering technology, Olo. With decades of experience in the IT industry, Fallon most recently comes from Fortune Brands Water Innovations, where he served as CIO overseeing the Moen and House of Rohl businesses. Prior to this, he served as SVP of Technology for Starbucks, leading their back-of-house, corporate, licensed stores and CPG technologies. Fallon will lead Wingstop’s restaurant technology solutions, IT infrastructure, and information security in this new role. “Wingstop’s category of one position is further strengthened by our tech-forward strategy and vision to digitize every transaction,” said CEO, Michael Skipworth. “Having Chris onboard will build on our strong foundation and take our enterprise and restaurant technology solutions to the next level.”

John Buccola – Chief Technology Officer at E78 Partners

E78 Partners, a one-stop-shop for middle-market finance and technology leaders and their financial sponsors, has appointed John Buccola as its next Chief Technology Officer. Buccola comes from Profit Enhancement Systems where he served as the President and Chief Technology Officer before E78 Partners acquired the company. In this new role, Buccola will spearhead the company’s technology strategy and execution, including the rollout of the new E78 Nexus software platform. Terry Carpenter – Chief Information Officer and Chief Technology Officer at the National Science Foundation

Terry Carpenter has been appointed as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the National Science Foundation (NSF) as part of a comprehensive IT reorganization that includes the establishment of the independent Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). The creation of OCIO aligns with the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022, aiming to support ongoing efforts to advance cutting-edge technologies at NSF. Carpenter, who previously served as the CTO at the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), joined NSF in July 2023 as a senior adviser to Director Sethuraman Panchanathan. In his new role, Carpenter will lead OCIO operations and play a vital role in scaling technology services for mission growth.

Kimberly Weis – Chief Data Officer for North Dakota

Kimberly Weis, formerly the director of data and analytics at North Dakota’s state technology division, has been appointed as the Chief Data Officer (CDO) for the state. In her new role, Weis will focus on driving innovation, improving efficiency, and achieving better outcomes for stakeholders. With a background in epidemiology and a career spanning nearly 22 years, Weis brings a wealth of experience to the position. She started her career in epidemiology in 2004 at the state’s Department of Health and later worked in various roles, including research analyst and assistant director, on the North Dakota Department of Human Services data analytics team. Kuldip Mohanty, North Dakota’s Chief Information Officer (CIO), expressed enthusiasm about Weis’s appointment saying, “We are thrilled to announce Kim Weis as our new chief data officer. Michael Young – Chief Product and Technology Officer for Chatham Financial

Securian Financial has appointed Darrin Hebert as senior vice president and chief information officer (CIO). Reporting to Kristi Fox, Securian Financial’s executive vice president and chief administrative officer, Hebert will succeed Pete Berlute, who now leads Securian Financial’s Affinity Solutions Division. With over 23 years of technology leadership experience, including roles at GE Capital and US Bank, Hebert most recently served as CIO for Aon’s Commercial Risk & Affinity business, where he led teams in digitally transforming the company’s Commercial Risk & Affinity platforms. In his role as CIO at Securian Financial, Hebert will lead the strategy and direction of the company’s enterprise technology operations, infrastructure, application development, and cybersecurity. He will also serve as a member of the company’s Executive Leadership Team, Strategy Council, and Risk Council.

Daniel Farrah – Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Duquesne Light Holdings Inc.

Duquesne Light Holdings Inc. (DLH) has appointed Daniel Farrah as its Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO). In this pivotal role, Farrah will spearhead the transformation of the Information Technology (IT) business unit, aligning it with DLH’s vision of a clean energy future. With a wealth of executive technology leadership experience, including roles such as Vice President of Technology Strategy and Innovation at Optum Health and CIO at MedExpress, Farrah is well-equipped to drive the modernization of the region’s grid and deliver exceptional results. Chen joins Envista from Kite Pharma, an industry-leading cell therapy biotechnology company, where he served as CIO. Adam Leisring – Chief Information Officer at Outreach

Outreach, a leading sales execution platform, has appointed Adam Leisring as its Chief Information Officer (CIO). Leisring is a seasoned leader with a deep understanding of Enterprise Risk and Compliance, Information Security, Infrastructure and Operations, and Product Engineering. He comes from Paycor where he worked for over 16 years, most recently as the Chief Information Security Officer. Rear Admiral Christopher Bartz – Deputy Chief Information Officer for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security

Rear Admiral Christopher Bartz, a distinguished leader in the U.S. Coast Guard’s Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information Technology (C4 & IT) division, is set to assume the role of Deputy Chief Information Officer at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). He currently holds the position of Chief Information Officer for the Coast Guard and is slated to officially begin his new role on February 5, 2024. In his new position, he will lead the global technology strategy, aiming to enhance digital experiences across Yum! Leah Cooper – Global Chief Digital Officer at Sedgwick

Sedgwick, a prominent global provider of technology-enabled risk, benefits, and integrated business solutions, has appointed Leah Cooper as Global Chief Digital Officer, a newly created role with expanded responsibilities. Cooper, known as a leading expert in claims technology, previously served as Sedgwick’s Managing Director of Global Consumer Technology. She has held various leadership positions within the company, including Vice President and Senior Vice President of IT Applications, overseeing the design and development of client-facing technology solutions. Tony Kinsman – Chief Technology Officer at Polaris Inc.

Polaris Inc. has announced the retirement of Ken Pucel, the Executive Vice President (EVP) of Global Operations and Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Pucel, who has had a remarkable nine-year career with Polaris, made significant contributions to the organization, including improvements in safety performance, global operations, innovation, and product development processes. To continue Polaris’ commitment to Rider-Driven Innovation, Tony Kinsman, Vice President of Off Road Engineering, has been appointed as the new CTO, in addition to his current responsibilities. Kinsman, a 20-year veteran with the Company, brings extensive technical and leadership expertise, having spent his career in various Off Road and Central Engineering roles focused on vehicle design, development, and technology integration. In his expanded role, Kinsman will oversee the continued advancement of Polaris’ central engineering capabilities and technology development, while driving increased integration between Polaris’ engineering teams. He will dual report to Speetzen and Steve Menneto, president of Off Road.

David Bell – Chief Information Security Officer at CBRE

CBRE, the world’s largest real estate services and investment firm, has appointed David Bell as Chief Information Security Officer. Prior to this appointment, Bell was with American Airlines for over 16 years, most recently serving as Managing Director – Cybersecurity and Technology Risk Management – CISO.
