Warner Bros. Discovery announced that Alex Charalambides will join CNN as Chief Technology Officer this week. Charalambides will report to Patty Hirsch, Global Executive Vice President of Consumer Digital & Platforms. In his new role, Charalambides will oversee CNN’s technology and digital platforms that serve millions of global monthly users.

Charalambides has three decades of experience in media and technology at organizations including Time, Inc as VP, Brand Engineering and as Co-Founder and CIO at LiveTechnology Holdings. His most recent role is Chief Technology Officer at Insider, Inc.
In a memo announcing Charalambides, CNN Digital president Athan Stephanopoulos said, “Charalambides is an experienced engineering executive who will help move CNN Digital our way forward.” Charalambides will begin his new role on November 28th.
