Artificial intelligence security took a significant step forward this week as Nvidia and more than 40 organizations launched the Open Secure AI Alliance (OSAA).
The coalition brings together major technology vendors, cybersecurity companies and open source organizations working to improve AI security across enterprise environments.
It’s launch follows the recent Hugging Face cyberattack, where defenders reportedly relied on a self-hosted open-weight AI model after closed frontier models could not support key forensic analysis.
Governments are also continuing to evaluate AI regulations and potential restrictions involving Chinese AI models. Those developments have shifted attention from model performance alone to transparency, operational control and security architectures that support enterprise AI deployments.
