  • Vehicles: IoT in vehicles supports condition-based maintenance, design optimization, and presales analytics. Connected cars and trucks provide real-time data on performance, enabling manufacturers to improve design and maintenance services, while autonomous features enhance safety and efficiency.

With projections indicating a potential value of up to $12.6 trillion by 2030, the economic impact of the Internet of Things (IoT) is substantial. By 2030, industrial IoT applications alone are projected to generate $3.3 trillion in revenue. The primary objective of these applications is to maximize equipment use and operations. Factories can boost production and efficiency by adopting IoT technology. Predictive maintenance plans, for example, are made possible by sensors and actuators integrated into machinery.

Health

The healthcare sector stands to benefit immensely from IoT, with potential economic impacts estimated at around $2 trillion. IoT devices, such as wearable health monitors and smart medical equipment, enhance patient care by providing continuous monitoring and timely interventions. These technologies enable healthcare providers to track vital signs and detect anomalies early, facilitating preventive care and reducing hospital readmissions.

Productivity
