The Premier League has appointed Simon Pakenham-Walsh as Chief Technology and Data Officer, bringing technology and data leadership together under the experienced executive.

Pakenham-Walsh announced the appointment on LinkedIn, saying the role gives him an opportunity to combine his passion for sport with his experience in technology and data.
“It is a privilege to join such an iconic organization,” he said. “I look forward to learning from colleagues across the business and contributing to the ongoing success of the League.”
Pakenham-Walsh most recently served as Chief Information Officer at River Island. His earlier leadership roles include VP of Consumer Technology at Wolverine Worldwide and Chief Technology Officer at Sweaty Betty.
