Chandhu Nair has been named Senior Vice President and Chief AI Officer at Target, becoming the company’s first Chief AI Officer. In the newly created role, he will lead efforts to strengthen and coordinate the use of artificial intelligence across the enterprise. Most recently, Nair served as Senior Vice President, Stores, Data, AI and Innovation at Lowe’s, where he spent more than six years in roles spanning data, AI, innovation, product and technology. At Target, Nair sees opportunities to use AI to better anticipate changing guest needs, improve inventory management, simplify work for employees and enable faster, more informed decisions. His initial focus will be on listening and learning across the organization to identify the areas where AI can deliver the greatest impact.
Erika Dean – Chief Information Security Officer at Tricentis
Tricentis has appointed Erika Dean as Chief Information Security Officer, placing her in charge of the company’s global enterprise cybersecurity, compliance, and product security programs. Dean brings more than 20 years of cybersecurity leadership experience across financial services and technology, including security leadership roles at Robinhood and Capital One. At Tricentis, she will focus on strengthening enterprise and product security, software supply chain protections, AI governance, and cyber resilience as the company expands its Agentic Quality Engineering Platform and customers increase their use of AI.
Noel Kilcooley – Chief Technology Officer at Align
Align has tapped Noel Kilcooley as Chief Technology Officer, where he will lead the company’s technology strategy and innovation agenda while overseeing AI, cybersecurity, and compliance initiatives. Kilcooley has spent more than 25 years at Align and brings extensive experience in engineering, cloud architecture, and technology leadership. During his tenure, he has helped strengthen security, improve operational efficiency, and guide the adoption of cloud services and artificial intelligence. In his new role, Kilcooley will help expand Align’s technology capabilities and support the company’s next phase of growth.
Adam Miller – Chief Technology and AI Officer at Valeris
Valeris has named Adam Miller Chief Technology and AI Officer, expanding its CTO role to formally incorporate AI leadership. Miller will lead the company’s technology organization, with responsibility for integrating AI and automation into internal tools, strengthening platform stability, and advancing data and analytics capabilities. He most recently served as a fractional and virtual CTO at Peak Activity, where he led enterprise AI initiatives across several industries, including deploying agentic AI in operational workflows. Miller previously served as CTO at vitaCare Prescription Services and held Chief Product Officer and Chief Information Officer roles during a decade with TherapeuticsMD.
Jeff Knowlton – Chief Technology Officer at CoralTree Hospitality
Jeff Knowlton has joined CoralTree Hospitality as Chief Technology Officer, where he will lead the company’s enterprise technology strategy, digital innovation, and systems optimization across its portfolio of hotels and resorts. Knowlton brings more than 25 years of hospitality and technology leadership experience, with a background spanning digital transformation, cybersecurity, hotel system integrations, and data and reporting programs. He most recently served as Chief Information Officer at Peregrine Hospitality and previously held the same role at Sonesta Hotels, along with technology positions at Pursuit Collection, Sage Hospitality, and Vail Resorts. At CoralTree, he will focus on improving guest experiences, operational efficiency, and technology infrastructure to support continued growth.
Scott Scheidt – Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Security Officer at Accelecom
Accelecom has recruited Dr. Scott Scheidt as Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Security Officer, a newly combined role overseeing information technology, operational and business support systems, enterprise security, and emerging AI capabilities. Scheidt joins from a regional cybersecurity and managed services provider, where he served as Chief Security Officer and built a virtual CISO practice supporting clients across the U.S., Canada, and Australia. He also brings more than three decades of U.S. Army Reserve experience in intelligence and cyber operations. At Accelecom, Scheidt will lead its OSS/BSS and internal IT environments, enterprise security program, market-facing security offerings, and adoption of AI-driven automation.
Steven McAndrews – Chief Information Officer at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
FEMA has selected Steven McAndrews as Chief Information Officer, bringing an experienced federal technology leader to the agency as it prepares for a major IT modernization effort. McAndrews joins from the National Nuclear Security Administration, where he most recently served as Deputy CIO, and previously held roles at the U.S. Census Bureau, the Office of Management and Budget, and the Department of Homeland Security. He succeeds acting CIO Zeke Maldonado, who will return to his role as Deputy CIO and assist with the transition. At FEMA, McAndrews will play a key role in modernizing the agency’s technology environment under Administrator Cameron Hamilton.
Carrie Davis – Chief Technology Officer at Lee County Port Authority
Carrie Davis has joined the Lee County Port Authority as Chief Technology Officer, where she will lead the information technology department supporting Southwest Florida International Airport and Page Field. Davis brings more than 25 years of IT leadership experience spanning infrastructure, systems modernization, cybersecurity, and operational efficiency. She most recently served as CIO for the St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners, where she led a countywide digital transformation and developed a five-year IT strategic plan. Her previous roles include CIO for Colorado’s Judicial Branch and technology leadership positions at Emily Griffith Technical College, Kaiser Permanente, and the Colorado Regional Health Information Exchange.
Chetan Gupta – Chief AI Officer at Rackspace Technology
Rackspace Technology has tapped Chetan Gupta, Ph.D., as Chief AI Officer, where he will lead the company’s AI strategy, innovation, governance, and adoption. Gupta joins after nearly a decade at Hitachi, where he led global AI research through senior roles spanning its Advanced AI Center, Industrial AI Lab, and Global AI Center of Excellence. His work focused on deploying AI in areas including energy, manufacturing, transportation, and infrastructure. Earlier, he spent seven years at HP Labs developing AI solutions for enterprise and industrial applications. At Rackspace, Gupta will focus on advancing enterprise and sovereign AI for regulated industries and mission-critical environments.
Shin-pei Tsay – Chief Information Officer at the City of Boston
The City of Boston has elevated Shin-pei Tsay to Chief Information Officer, where she will lead the Department of Innovation and Technology and oversee efforts to strengthen the city’s digital infrastructure and service delivery. Tsay previously served as Boston’s Chief Research and Data Officer, where she launched the city’s first data strategy, and earlier led the Mayor’s Office of Urban Mechanics. Her career spans civic technology, transportation, sustainability, and urban innovation, including leadership roles at Uber, the Gehl Institute, TransitCenter, and the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. As CIO, she will build on Boston’s work in digital services, technology infrastructure, public connectivity, data, and generative AI governance.
Jeetu Mirchandani – Chief Technology Officer at Credit Acceptance
Credit Acceptance has recruited Jeetu Mirchandani as Chief Technology Officer, where he will lead the company’s engineering organization and technology strategy as it advances its digital and AI initiatives. Mirchandani joins after more than 21 years at Amazon, where he led large engineering, product, and science organizations spanning fulfillment, supply chain technology, personalization, e-commerce, and AI. Most recently, as Head of Applied AI, he helped shape and execute Amazon’s AI transformation strategy across its retail and healthcare businesses. At Credit Acceptance, Mirchandani will focus on building a more data-informed, AI-enabled organization and improving technology experiences for customers and dealer partners.
Barry Tanner – Chief Information Officer at the Department of the Navy
The Department of the Navy has elevated Barry Tanner to Chief Information Officer on a permanent basis after he served as acting CIO following Jane Rathbun’s departure in 2025. Tanner previously served as Deputy CIO and brings technology leadership experience from the Navy and private sector, along with three decades as an active and reserve naval officer. During his tenure as deputy and acting CIO, he helped advance major IT modernization efforts, including Operation Cattle Drive and the Naval Enterprise Networks program. As CIO, Tanner will oversee technology modernization across the Navy and Marine Corps, with a focus on enterprise AI adoption, zero-trust cybersecurity, cryptographic modernization, and cyber readiness.
Prakash Bhakta – Chief Information Officer at the New Mexico Department of Public Safety
The New Mexico Department of Public Safety has selected Prakash Bhakta as Chief Information Officer, where he will lead the agency’s Information Technology Division and modernization efforts. Bhakta brings experience across technology, business operations, and New Mexico state government, having served in roles ranging from management analyst and computer technician to senior manager and CIO at multiple state agencies. His priorities include modernizing infrastructure, strengthening cybersecurity and compliance, improving IT services, and building a secure hybrid technology environment. Bhakta will also guide the department’s approach to emerging technologies, including AI and advanced analytics, while improving reliable access to information for officers in the field.
Bridget Collins – Chief Information Officer at Progress Software
Progress Software has welcomed Bridget Collins as Chief Information Officer, where she will lead the company’s global IT and security organization and oversee enterprise technology strategy, AI adoption, cybersecurity, and M&A integration. Collins brings more than 30 years of experience in enterprise IT, business transformation, and AI strategy, most recently serving as Chief Information and Business Transformation Officer at Rapid7. She previously held CIO and Chief Transformation Officer roles at Cerence and served as Vice President of Information Technology at Nuance Communications. Returning to Progress, where she began her career as a software engineer, Collins will focus on advancing AI across internal operations, evaluating emerging technologies, and strengthening governance for data, security, and AI.
Jake Bouvrie – Chief AI Officer at Insurify
Insurify has brought on Jake Bouvrie as its first Chief AI Officer, where he will lead the company’s AI strategy and development of AI-powered insurance shopping capabilities. Bouvrie joins from Nestlé, where he served as Head of Research and Development, Digital and AI, and previously held AI leadership roles at KAYAK and Gradient AI. In his new role, he will oversee initiatives spanning conversational insurance shopping, customer-carrier matching, and AI tools for employees. He will also help develop governance standards covering model quality, privacy, fairness, and explainability as Insurify works toward launching a fully agentic insurance shopping experience.
Amy Brown-Slawson – Chief Information Security Officer at Advanced IT
Advanced IT has welcomed Amy Brown-Slawson as Chief Information Security Officer, where she will lead the company’s enterprise cybersecurity strategy, information security governance, risk management, regulatory compliance, and security operations. Brown-Slawson brings nearly 20 years of IT and cybersecurity leadership experience, most recently serving as Chief Information Security Officer and IT Security Manager at Aurora Flight Sciences. She previously spent more than 14 years as Director of IT and Security at Orbit Logic. At Advanced IT, Brown-Slawson will focus on strengthening cyber resilience, protecting critical systems and information, and advancing security and compliance capabilities supporting the company’s federal and defense work.
Nimrod Barak – Chief AI Officer at Synchrony
Synchrony has tapped Nimrod Barak as Chief AI Officer, where he will lead the company’s enterprise-wide AI strategy, governance, and execution. Barak brings more than 20 years of experience leading engineering, data, and AI organizations, most recently serving as Managing Director and Head of the AI Center of Excellence and Emerging Technologies at Citi. At Synchrony, he will oversee the development and deployment of AI capabilities across the business, including agentic AI and intelligent automation initiatives. His focus will include expanding responsible AI adoption across products, operations, and decision-making while supporting customers, partners, and employees.
Daniel Dubowski – Senior Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer at Marriott International
Marriott International has brought on Daniel Dubowski as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer, where he will help strengthen cybersecurity and resilience across the company’s global enterprise. Dubowski joins from Hertz, where he also served as CISO, and brings experience leading cybersecurity and risk programs across hospitality, travel, financial services, and healthcare. He succeeds Arno Van Der Walt and will report to Global CIO Naveen Manga. At Marriott, Dubowski will focus on protecting guests, associates, owners, and partners as the company continues its multiyear technology transformation and expands its use of AI and automation.
Patti Degnan – Chief Information Security Officer at Glow
Glow has recruited Patti Degnan as Chief Information Security Officer, where she will build and lead the company’s security, IT, compliance, privacy, and customer trust organizations. Degnan brings nearly two decades of cybersecurity and privacy experience, most recently serving as an Operating Partner at Andreessen Horowitz, where she advised companies on securing AI-native technologies. She previously served as CISO at Notion, where she founded the security organization and scaled it as the company grew past 100 million users. Earlier in her career, Degnan held leadership roles at Looker and Informatica. At Glow, she will also work with product and engineering teams to strengthen security across the company’s enterprise endpoint security offerings.
Jordan Avnaim – Global Chief Information Security Officer at Allied Universal
Allied Universal has named Jordan Avnaim Global Chief Information Security Officer, where he will lead the company’s global cybersecurity strategy and operations across more than 100 countries and territories. Avnaim brings more than 20 years of experience in cybersecurity, technology risk, and regulatory compliance, previously serving as CISO at Hyundai AutoEver America and Entrust, along with senior security leadership roles at Capital Group Companies. At Allied Universal, he will oversee cybersecurity teams and resources while developing a risk-based security program focused on protecting employees, systems, data, and technology platforms and strengthening cyber resilience across the organization.
Ayushi Roy – Chief Technology Officer at the State of California
California has selected Ayushi Roy as Chief Technology Officer, bringing experience in government technology modernization and digital public services to the state. Roy most recently served as Chief Program Officer at New America’s New Practice Lab, where her work included researching and designing technology systems used to administer public benefits. She previously served as Director of State and Local Technology at 18F and later as a senior adviser for the Technology Modernization Fund at the General Services Administration and the White House Office of Management and Budget. Roy succeeds Jonathan Porat and joins California’s technology leadership as the state focuses on legacy system modernization, digital identity, and artificial intelligence.
Mano Mannoochahr – Chief AI and Data Officer at Ford Motor Company
Ford Motor Company has brought on Mano Mannoochahr as Chief AI and Data Officer, where he will help advance the automaker’s enterprise AI and data capabilities. Mannoochahr joins from Verizon, where he served as Chief Data, Analytics and AI Officer and led an organization of more than 3,000 employees focused on applying AI across customer, network, and enterprise operations. He previously spent six years at Travelers leading enterprise data, analytics, and AI, following senior technology roles at GE and John Deere. At Ford, Mannoochahr will work across Enterprise Technology, Ford Blue, Ford Model e, Ford Pro, and Ford Credit to expand the company’s use of AI and data.
Christopher Freytes – Chief Information Security Officer at Alpha Compute
Alpha Compute has appointed Christopher Freytes as Chief Information Security Officer, where he will oversee the company’s global security strategy and help protect its AI infrastructure and confidential computing environments. Freytes brings experience in cloud-native security, zero-trust architecture, and cybersecurity for highly regulated environments. He also serves as a Warrant Officer in Cyber Defense Operations for the U.S. Air National Guard, supporting enterprise and tactical communications systems for national security missions. At Alpha Compute, Freytes will focus on safeguarding enterprise and government workloads, strengthening data protection, and securing the company’s expanding data center infrastructure.
Sanjay Chandra – Chief Information Officer at Oura
Oura has welcomed Sanjay Chandra as its first Chief Information Officer, where he will oversee the enterprise technology foundation supporting the company’s growth. Chandra will lead enterprise AI technology strategy, business systems transformation, infrastructure, and governance, with an emphasis on security, privacy, and trust. Andrew Bestwick – Chief Technology Officer at Rigetti Computing
Rigetti Computing has promoted Andrew Bestwick, Ph.D., to Chief Technology Officer, where he will oversee quantum processor development, chip fabrication development, and hardware engineering. Bestwick joined Rigetti in 2015 and most recently served as Senior Vice President of Quantum Systems, leading the architecture of the company’s Cepheus-class multi-chip systems. During his tenure, he has held technical and leadership roles spanning chip fabrication, circuit design, cryogenic RF hardware engineering, and system architecture. As CTO, Bestwick will lead Rigetti’s technology organization as it works to improve quantum processor performance and advance its technology roadmap.
James McKenna – Chief Information Officer at Foley & Lardner
Foley & Lardner has hired James “Jim” McKenna as Chief Information Officer, where he will lead efforts to advance the firm’s technology platforms and improve efficiency across the organization. McKenna brings more than 25 years of legal technology leadership experience spanning enterprise infrastructure, AI, cybersecurity, application development, and information governance. He most recently spent eight years as CIO at Fenwick & West, where he led global IT operations, following 17 years at Morrison & Foerster overseeing infrastructure and modernization initiatives. At Foley, McKenna will work with firm leadership, attorneys, and business professionals to support its technology and innovation priorities.
Wasi Ahmed – Chief Information Officer at Patterson Companies
Patterson Companies has named Wasi Ahmed Chief Information Officer, where he will lead the company’s enterprise technology strategy and modernization efforts. Ahmed brings more than 30 years of technology leadership experience, most recently serving as Chief Technical and Chief Information Officer at Foundation Building Materials, where he led SAP modernization, cloud transformation, cybersecurity, AI-enabled automation, and the technology integration of more than 70 acquisitions. He previously served as CIO of Yokohama Tire Corporation of North America and held senior technology roles at Ventura Foods and Oracle. At Patterson, Ahmed will focus on SAP modernization, cybersecurity, AI and analytics, and strengthening the company’s technology foundation.
Natalie Pageler – Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Seattle Children’s
Seattle Children’s has tapped Natalie Pageler, MD, as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, where she will oversee the health system’s digital strategy and IT operations. Pageler brings more than 20 years of experience spanning clinical care, healthcare technology, and clinical informatics. She joins from Stanford Children’s Health and Stanford University School of Medicine, where she most recently served as Division Chief of Clinical Informatics, Associate Dean of Maternal Child Health, and Clinical Professor of Pediatrics, following a decade as Chief Medical Information Officer. Jonathan Krotz – Chief Information Security Officer at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP
Jonathan Krotz has joined Davis Polk & Wardwell as Chief Information Security Officer, following more than seven years at PJT Partners. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President and Head of Information Security and Technology Risk, where he built and led the firm’s cybersecurity and technology risk program. Earlier in his career, Krotz advised the Navy Program Executive Office on cybersecurity and managed security solutions for sensitive government systems. His background also includes engineering roles at Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions and Vista Research, with experience spanning secure computing and cybersecurity policy for military applications.
Chandra Vadamodula – Chief Information Officer at CJ Logistics America
CJ Logistics America has added Chandra Vadamodula to its executive team as Chief Information Officer, where he will lead the company’s enterprise technology strategy. He also spent nearly five years as CIO at Steadfast Companies and more than a decade in technology leadership at CalAtlantic Homes, including as Chief Technology Officer. Ellen Trager – Chief Information Officer at The Mosaic Company
The Mosaic Company has welcomed Ellen Trager as Chief Information Officer, where she will lead information technology, digital, and AI for the Fortune 500 crop nutrition company. Trager most recently served as Chief Digital and Information Officer for Global Functions at Carrier, leading digital and IT across the company’s finance, HR, supply chain, manufacturing, and other enterprise functions. During her five years at Carrier, she advanced AI, data and analytics, smart manufacturing, ERP standardization, infrastructure modernization, and digital transformation. Mike Marshall – Chief Information Security Officer at the State of California
California has tapped Mike Marshall as Chief Information Security Officer, bringing 18 years of public-sector cybersecurity experience to the role. Marshall most recently served as Acting Information Officer at the California Environmental Protection Agency, where he previously spent five years as Information Security Officer. He began his public-sector cybersecurity career at the California Public Employees’ Retirement System and has worked with the California Department of Technology on statewide security initiatives. As CISO, Marshall will help lead implementation of Cal-Secure 2.0, California’s cybersecurity roadmap focused on workforce development, government coordination, information sharing, and security technology modernization.
Jonathan Lewis – Managing Director, Chief Technology and Information Officer at LPL Financial
Jonathan Lewis has joined LPL Financial as Managing Director, Chief Technology and Information Officer, where he will lead key technology areas including architecture, engineering, infrastructure, and development. Lewis brings more than two decades of financial services technology leadership experience, most recently serving as Head of Digital and Trading Technology for Wealth Management at Wells Fargo, where he led large-scale technology platforms and advanced AI-driven engineering capabilities. He previously served as Head of Asset Management Technology at J.P. Morgan. David Soto – Chief Information Security Officer at Trellix

Butler most recently served as Chief Technology Officer at Foot Locker, where he spent more than three years leading technology for the global retailer. Liz Carrasco – Chief Technology Officer at OverDrive
OverDrive has named Liz Carrasco Chief Technology Officer, where she will lead the company’s global technology strategy and engineering organization supporting platforms including Libby, Kanopy, and Sora. Carrasco brings more than 20 years of technology leadership experience, with expertise in personalization, digital media, and large-scale streaming. She most recently served as Director of Architecture at Rotary International after spending more than a decade in senior technology leadership roles at CBS Interactive, ViacomCBS, and Paramount. Rex Young – Chief Information Officer at Spinnaker Support
Rex Young has joined Spinnaker Support as Chief Information Officer, where he will lead the company’s global technology strategy as it expands its operations. Young brings more than 25 years of technology leadership experience spanning IT, cybersecurity, AI, and digital transformation. Joe Simon – Chief Technology and Information Officer at PRG
Joe Simon has stepped into the role of Chief Technology and Information Officer at PRG, taking responsibility for the company’s enterprise technology, systems, and data strategy. Simon brings more than 25 years of experience leading technology and operational transformation across media, entertainment, and live events. Chris Carmody – Chief Information Officer at UPMC
UPMC has elevated Chris Carmody to Chief Information Officer. Carmody has spent nearly three decades with the health system, progressing from Information Technology Auditor to IT Director, Vice President, and Senior Vice President within its Information Services Division. He previously served as UPMC’s Chief Technology Officer and will now lead the Information Technology Division. Schutt has worked across DHS and other federal agencies as a Department of Government Efficiency team member since early 2025, including assignments at FEMA and CISA. Schutt will also serve as Director of the Office of Biometric Identity Management. He succeeds Antoine McCord, who has served as DHS CIO since March 2025.
