Intel has confirmed Pushkar Ranade as its Chief Technology Officer on a permanent basis, following several months in the role on an interim footing. In his role, Ranade is responsible for shaping Intel’s overarching technology direction and advancing key innovation initiatives.

He will also retain his position as chief of staff to CEO Lip-Bu Tan, a dual responsibility intended to keep the company’s technical vision closely aligned with its operational and commercial priorities. Ranade reports directly to Tan. His scope spans a range of frontier fields, including quantum technologies, neuromorphic systems, photonics, and advanced materials, alongside oversight of strategic technology programs.
The leadership update comes amid broader organizational moves aimed at strengthening Intel’s position in AI and emerging computing paradigms. As part of the same announcement, the company brought in Alex Katouzian to oversee its client computing and physical AI efforts, reflecting a push toward integrating AI capabilities across devices and systems.
