The University of Central Florida has appointed Holly Drake as its next Chief Information Security Officer, bringing a seasoned leader with a strong track record in public-sector and higher education cybersecurity.

Drake joins UCF from the State of Ohio, where she has served as Chief Information Security Officer since February 2023. Prior to that, she spent over four years at The Ohio State University as Chief Privacy Officer and Director of Cybersecurity Governance, giving her deep experience in managing privacy and security operations within large research universities.
Drake was recently honored with the Thomas M. Jarrett Cybersecurity Leadership Award by the National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO), recognizing her outstanding contributions to advancing cybersecurity in the public sector.
At UCF, one of the largest public universities in the nation, Drake will lead efforts to protect institutional data, research, and digital infrastructure.
