AXS, has appointed Nikhil Bobde as its new Chief Technology Officer. Reporting to CEO Bryan Perez, Bobde will oversee global technology organization, drive innovation, and spearhead the opening of a new engineering hub in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Bobde brings over two decades of experience building and scaling technology platforms across some of the world’s most influential tech companies. He most recently served as CTO at Thumbtack, where he led engineering, data science, AI, and cybersecurity functions for the $4–5B GMV marketplace. During his tenure, he redefined the company’s technology strategy and laid the foundation for GenAI and LLM adoption to fuel future growth.
Before Thumbtack, Bobde spent a decade at Meta (Facebook), where he led engineering across products and infrastructure, scaling Facebook Video and Messenger to billions of users and advancing real-time systems for Instagram and WhatsApp. He also drove company-wide privacy initiatives impacting over 3 billion users.
Earlier in his career, he was a founding member of Microsoft’s Unified Communications platform (now Microsoft Teams) and contributed to Windows cloud services and kernel development.
