Lakeside Software has named Aleksey Shafransky as its new Chief Technology Officer. Shafransky will oversee technology strategy and product engineering, with a focus on platform reliability, AI-driven capabilities, and improved user experience.

Joining from Kaseya, where he was Senior Vice President of Research & Development, Shafransky brings deep enterprise SaaS experience, having led global teams that developed IT solutions in areas such as backup, automation, compliance, and remote monitoring.
Based in Poland, he will now lead Lakeside’s global engineering efforts, coinciding with the company’s expanded operations in the region.
Before Kaseya, Shafransky held senior engineering leadership roles at LOGICnow (now part of N-able), where he oversaw development in backup technologies. His earlier experience includes engineering and department leadership roles at IASO Backup Technology and project management at Itransition Group.
“I’ve seen small, well-structured teams amplified by AI outperform much larger organizations,” Shafransky told The National CIO Review. “At Lakeside, that philosophy will power how we build and what we ship: AI copilots for our engineers and AI in-product.”
