Suzanne Changus Named CTO of the California Department of Technology

California Governor Gavin Newsom named Suzanne Changus the new Chief Technology Officer for the state’s Department of Technology on Wednesday. She will report to the Director and Chief Information Officer of the department, Liana Bailey-Crimmins, and head the operational side of the state’s technology practices.

Changus will be leaving her role as CIO for the California Prison Industry Authority, where she has been leading the authority’s management information systems, project management office, and strategic business plan. Her other past roles include serving as the Sr. Salesforce Business Analyst/Administrator for Western Health Advantage, Sr. Salesforce Business Consultant for Zennify, and the SaaS Account Manager for POS Portal in Sacramento. On the education side, Changus earned an MBA in Business Administration and Management from California State University-Sacramento and a BS in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix.

She will begin her tenure after receiving Senate confirmation.
